In addition to being all-around great guy (and obviously modest), Dr. White is an experienced, committed, and compassionate professional. After receiving a degree in microbiology, he decided to attend dental school at the Medical College of Virginia. It was there that he decided his true passion was making people feel more attractive and confident through cosmetic dentistry and orthodontics.
After graduating magna cum laude from dental school in 2001, he went on to complete orthodontic specialty training at Indiana University and graduated as a specialist in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics in 2003. He also obtained a master’s degree for studying the skeletal treatment effects of various appliances used for bite correction.
After practicing in Oregon for 15 years, he decided to chase the “California Dream” and relocate to Orange County. In 2018, He built out a new space in Rancho Mission Viejo, becoming the first orthodontist in this new community.
Over his career he has successfully collaborated with many different dental teams - treating over 4,500 patients ranging from children with Crouzon’s syndrome to “my turn Mom’s” with simple orthodontic relapse.
He enjoys ANYTHING outside – running, mountain biking, and skiing are a few favorites. Don’t hold it against him, but he is a passionate University of Oregon fan and frequently travels to root for the Ducks! Often accompanying him are his three children ages 21, 14, 11, and his Golden Retiever, Brody!
Our Treatment Approach
The most attractive smiles are broad (a “12 tooth smile”) where the upper incisors follow a consonant arc with the lower lip. We use self-ligating brackets which allows for lighter forces, and broader smiles. We rarely recommend the extraction of permanent teeth, but will do so if facial balance, or periodontal health would be compromised with a non-extraction treatment plan.
Why You Should Choose Us for Your Orthodontic Treatment
Often, the number one complaint of orthodontic offices is the impersonal care, and lack of individual attention from the orthodontist. This doesn’t occur at our office - Dr. White sees every patient at every appointment and performs a significant portion of each adjustment.
Most importantly – every member of our team is committed to “doing all things will Love” as we serve our community. Something that we believe is palpable to those that have entrusted us with their care."
